| We have been very busy with Mano's De Amor (the orphanage) with the posada's (Christmas parties). Been working with the school doing arts and crafts, handing out school supplies. Sunday did a lot of walking, went with Maria to walk the precision of Our Lady of Guadalupe. We took the bus into town and then had to walk about 31/2 miles to the church. Then, had to walk about 11/4 mile to the bus stop to come back home. My poor dogs were just barking away. Got home about 3 p.m. then had to get ready to go help with the Mano's de Amor with the posada. We had a great time lots of food, drinks, music & children !!! So today is the day to rest and relax. We don't have to worry about keeping warm here because, the weather is great here. But, you my friends stay warm and talk to you later !!!! Jim and WW |
| Things Have been very busy here, we have doing a lot with Mano's De Amor the orphanage. There are 19 children now and lots of fiesta have been going on for them. Trying to get ready for 2 of the big fundraisers for them. The 1st one is in January " The Cocktail Party" and in February " Rhythm and Ribs". Now I am working with the little school making Christmas ornaments 86 children there. Will be fun, reminds me of my kids when we made the ornaments from school and to think we still have them. | Getting ready for Thanksgiving. Making the traditional turkey dinner with 16 friends here in Mexico. This will be our 5Th year of sitting with our friends. Been busy with Mano's DE Amor ( kids from the orphanage) we have lots going for them. Christmas parties from different business. Making arts and crafts for invitations to the cocktail party. The other day I went with my friend Maria and her daughters to visit her dad. Then he took us to the river to go swimming. It was really nice, clean and clear. But, boy was it COLD but after you were in it felt good. More time to play !!!! Jim and I went to the beach the other day. Had a great time there. I was the only one who went in the water. Jim only likes to go and sit in the sun. So, I had to be like a kid and go find a friend. Yep !! I did met some lady's that were on vacation for the week. They lived about 10 hours away and where going to different beaches on the way back home. We went to our friend Adolph's 75Th birthday party. We started there at 3p.m. and didn't leave till 11:30... Had a great time laughing, dancing, singing. the weather is great about the mid 80's. Well my friends be happy and talk to you later. | We are now in Mexico !!!! We crossed the border on the November 1st it took us 3 days to get here. We had a great trip coming down NO problems on the road. We have been cleaning the house, its very dusty from all the dirt around here. Then, had to get our clothes out of storage. Took the comforters to the orphanage along with all the shoes, book bags, sheets, socks, underwear. It was so great to see how happy they were to get new things. The kids just wanted to show me how well they fit them. In return we get lots of HUGS and KISSES. Been going out with our friends to different party's. Our neighbor had his 75Th birthday party. We had a great time there. The party started at 3p.m. and then didn't get do till 12. Lots of dancing, singing talking to catch up with everyone. The weather is fantastic here its been about 77-82.. Oh My I guess it has been a month since the last time I wrote on here. At this moment we are on the hi way heading to San Antonio,TX. to visit my mom and aunt. Then we will be heading to Mexico!!!! We have been in Georgia with April and the grand kids. Helping April out and getting things organize for next year race season. Took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese yesterday. We had a great time !! I did too.. Chucky is my best friend as my brother would always tell me that he was my ONLY friend. We are packed to the hilt with stuff for the orphanage and the school that I help. All I can ask is the God keep us in his hands to take us down there safe and sound. So, that the kids can get the things that we have for them. I am excited to see them all. We now have 21 at the orphanage and the oldest girl is blind. We are taking some braille books for her. So will try to keep up again on the travels and things going on with us. | My 1st baby girl is on her trip for Afghanistan for a whole year.. She will be missed by all the family, we have prayers following her the whole time she is gone to have her be safe over there. And to come back home to us SAFE AND SOUND !!! We miss you sweetheart, you make us very proud !!! Come home soon! |
| Not much has been going on, other then taking it easy at looking real close to see what has to go to Mexico. We will be loaded down this year. My BIG PROJECT of get 24 people to donate $18.00 to purchase new comforters for the kids at the orphanage has gone great. The comforters are here and talk about lots of boxes. Have to order space bags to pack them. Repack school supplies, get bikes ready to load. Oh and get our clothes packed to.. Been hanging out with the kids, went to Maverick 1st football game they won 27 to 14. It was a good game they had to kick to head coach out from the other team. He was not a good boy !!! Just sets bad example for the kids. We went to church on Sunday then to breakfast. The babysitter took Delani to the circus, April and Maverick went to 6 Flags. So, Jim and I were alone!! I dropped him off at home to watch the football game and I took off to go shopping for stuff to take to Mexico. | Well it's been a long time since I wrote. Badd Girl !!! Lots has been going on we raced at Cordova. April, Maverick & Delani flew in, for Maverick to race his Jr. Dragster & to have Delani's 2 year old birthday. My stars how time flies. We had a great time the weather was great. We got to see lots of fans had time to spend with all the family. The grand kids are just getting so big !! We had fun with the other racers, it's been a year the last time that we were here.. After, Cordova we then came back to Canada for the last race up here for the Labor Day weekend. The weather wasn't that great ! It rained and rained.. We able to get 1 run in and then getting ready almost at the line to get the 2ND one in , and then it started coming down like cats & dogs. We closed up our summer cottage for the winter, till next year.. We are now visiting our friends before we leave to go back to the states. We must now close up our Canada home for the winter.. hee hee We will be heading out today for the states. So will be a few days before I get to post and let you know what's going on.. | I have been sick for about 10 days, Thought I could treat myself, well I screwed up. Went to Tiffany's going away party on Sunday, we came home and my back pain was getting worst. So Sunday at wee hours of the morning had to go potty several times during the night. In the morning when there was light I saw blood. Told, Jim guess we better go to the Dr... Dr. said that either i had a bladder or kidney infection. Or, could be kidney stones, gave me medicine to try and clear it up, If I get a fever, or nausea go to the E.R... Well Tuesday night had a temp of 104 at 9 p.m. So they ran test and still have me here in the hospital, to try and clear this infection off. Started with a yeast infection, then went to the bladder waited to long and moved to the kidneys. Took pictures of kidneys now need to see if I have kidney stones & hopefully get release tomorrow. Please pray that I get better !! Sorry for the sad news, but, please stay cool and hope to see you all soon. Jim & WW |
| Oh my stars who the heck are these people who keep putting this stuff on my blog???? STOP IT NOW !!! O.K. I'm cool that's off my chest.. We are heading for IL. now have lots to do there. Went out to dinner with some new friends that we meet last year here in Epping,N.H. It was nice to see Gary & Heather again this year. They are hoping to come to Mexico to spend some time with us. That would be nice. Went whale watching on Sunday and had a good time with K.C. & Linda. It was just fun to relax in the sun, and have lots of great laughs. | Hi All, We got into Epping,N.H. on Monday afternoon (8-2-10) relaxed, then went into Boston,Ma. on Tuesday. Had a great time visiting all the different places. Saw "Ironside" the U.S.S. Constitution ship, went to the CHEERS bar and saw the actually set. Took a tour then a tour on the water. Wednesday was laundry day. Rented a couple of movies from Red Box. Thursday we went whale watching it wasn't that great because it started to rain. I think its best to go see them in the morning to see them, because they weren't out very much. Friday went to Wal-Mart to get supplies for us and shop for my kids at the orphanage. Saturday we had a great day racing, lots of fans came out to see all the cars. Sunday went whale watching again, it was better. Saw a Blue whale breech it was great to see. There are only 400 left in the world. The water was very choppy so it was hard to take pictures. | Oh my it has been a long time writing here I don't like it when I don't have Internet. We have been to Elliott Lake, Ontario, Napierville, Quebec, and now back to the cottage in Luskville. Have to post pictures on line. It was nice to see all our friends at the tracks that we have been to. Some sad moments to let friends know about Brother Bob passing away.. But, had lots of good times remember him. Today is the 3rd month that he has been gone now. This weekend is going to be real busy. Maverick is heading home soon so trying to get all the friends together to get they last play dates. Maverick got his 1st win in his Jr dragster at Napierville. Hope he does real good this weekend. | Just got done with supper dishes, everyone is showered, and closed up the cottage here in Luskville, Quebec.. Will be leaving about 7a.m. to head for Elliott Lake, Ontario. Went to the movies today to see "Despicable Me", that was a cute movie. I guess this will be another to add to my collection to watch with my grand kids. That is the greatest time that I get with them. The other day Maverick want to watch Sound of Music & Oliver.. 2 of many of favorites. I remember when my kids were little they would always sing " I'll do Anything for You Dear Anything" when they wanted something or just to make me happy !! Went to a super Wal-mart and out to eat at a Boston Pizza yesterday.. It was good. Had to tell our friends that we would see them in 2 weeks when we come back here to the cottage. | Today was a great day we saw the Queen Elizabeth & Prince Albert. The Queen unveiled a jazz singers statue. She is visiting her Thursday, Friday, Saturday. It was pretty cool to see her. Poor Jim is complaining that i took to many pictures. Huh !!!! Hush up Fat Head !!! We also saw the Snow Birds fly by several times. Thank was good Jim was in 7Th heaven then... HI Everyone we are now in Luskville, got here Friday it was nice then it rained in the evening. It rained this morning but it as quite still a little cloudy. It will clear up later in the afternoon. We were in Osgoode, Ontario at our friends Paolo & Shannon helped them move to the new house. We went to see Toy Story 3 on Tuesday. That was a GREAT show i will buy it when it comes out. Went to the library to use the computer for a little while. Your only aloud1 hour. We went Thursday to watch the Royal Canadian Mountie Police. It was good they had equestrian horses, drug dog looking at the luggage's for drugs. Then the horses were doing a show like a musical carousel. It reminded me of all the horse show that i went with Tiffany. Had a fantastic time. Hope that everyone is doing great. Will talk to you all later. Jim & WW |
| Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads !!! I was a good little woman and made waffles and sausage for the Love of My Life... Gave him his fathers day gifts and he said thank you but I only got you a card for Mothers Day !!! That's o.k. Honey.. | We got into Grand Bend last night. We were at London, Ontario we displayed the car at the Canadian Tire. It rained in the morning But farmer Jim said that was o.k. " Rain before 7 done by 11" O.k. it was about 11:30 rolled the car out and it was a bit cloudy but no rain. We visited our friends there Jarda and the kids. Maverick had a good time with them. They are going to come on Sat or Sun to the races. Went on Tuesday to the movies ( that's bargain day ) to see Iron man 2. What will we see next Tuesday???? Can't wait to get racing. | 1st race of the season at Baileyton,AL. May 15, 2010.. We had a great time there, the fans were very friendly. We made 3 great passes, the 1st one was to check the track out. From there we went a little faster. Had lots of people come by to tell us that they really enjoyed to show. We had some new fans that had never seen a jet car. | Today is a very sad day for our family today. My brother "Bob" passed away this morning to be with the Lord our God. . May he rest in peace !!! We will never forget him, he will be in our hearts forever. It will be very ruff this year racing without him.. He was planning to head up with us Saturday to go racing this year. Howdy we are in Texas, Heading to Georgia. We left Thursday the 15Th to head back to the states. Drove half way to San Luis Potosi stopped at the truck stop there to sleep. Left the next morning and crossed the border about 5:30 p.m.. Spent the night at the Flying J.. woo hoo so romantic. Left early to San Antonio to see my mom & aunt spent the day with them. Bob took us out to eat at a Golden Corral, then he dropped us off at Walmart. We rented a movie and went to bed. Got up early this morning and now on the road again. Not sure if we are going all the way to Georgia or stop at Walmart and see another movie. hee hee That's 1 thing we like is to see the Red Box so we can see new movies. | Hola, Well Jim has started the count down for us to go back. Sunday we went to a birthday party for our friend Margo, she said it was her 15Th b-day. hahaha Monday we went to the San Vicente fiesta with all the bands, dancers, fireworks. We all danced went taco bouncing, walked the flea market. We were there till 3 in the morning. Had lots of fun !!! Tuesday we were dragging butt. Didn't do much of anything then that evening we went to Philos a restaurant that was having all you can eat ribs for 100.00 peso it was a fun raiser for a senior center to help who can't afford medicine. Thursday we went into town to see our friends to tell them we will see them in November. And on the way to the car we saw these big Iguana's. Today had to go to the doctor I have infection in my throat so i had to get a shot this morning, then go at 5:30 for another. Now, i have to go again at 9a.m. for 1 more (ouch) !!!!! Jim is very happy because i can't talk. He's telling me "WHAT i CAN'T Hear You" .. He is so Baaadd !!! Well my friends stay warm or cool. Talk to you later.. | Hola my gosh i best get on the stick and write a little more. Lets see on Saturday we were suppose to go whale watching but, it was canceled so now i have to wait till august in N.H. to see them again. Went out to dinner with some friends of ours. Then after dinner. We came home and waited an hour or so then went to the night club to watch some Tango dancing. Sunday we went to a baptism. Church started at 12 then after the hour. We had the christening mass 36 baby's it was 1 1/2 hours to do all of them. Today was girls day out only 2 of us went because their husbands wouldn't let them go. But we had a good time we went to the movies we saw " The book of Eli" it was o.k... then came home to make supper for us. Oh yeah here are the woodpeckers that have been pecking on poor Delila in the morning. Jim covered the mirrors up with some cloth so they wouldn't attack her, but they still do. | On Sunday we went with our friends on a river trip about 2 hours inland. Had to go through mountains, woods, and the river. We went swimming in the river it was real clear. The guys went fishing, while we went swimming. We had a cook out of meat and when the fish came then we had a fish fry. Had a fantastic time. Today was girls day out, we went to the movies . We saw the movie with Mel Gibson ( over the edge) i think. But , it was very good. Came home and my love made another piece of furniture. Well hope all is well for everyone. | Went to our friend Chuy's birthday party last night. Didn't get home till very late. Check out the pictures and you will see what we do when we are here. As you can see Jim & Gustavo like to dance with each other, then the wife's. ha ha Then the guys sit around with their Tequila. We have such a great time here. | Well happy March !!! Been whale watch every Tuesday. Last Tuesday not to much activity. Getting ready for Friday for girl's day out. Then Saturday have friends coming from Canada coming. Then we will be very busy showing them all around. Today we will be having a big birthday party for all the kids at the orphanage. That will be a good time !!! | I am hoping that this is going to work now. There has been much going on since the last update. I have been going whale watching every Tuesday the baby are jumping now. Been busy with the fundraiser for the "Manos de Amor" the orphanage. We baked Tuesday - Friday. Saturday the 20Th was the big day. We had a big success it had lots of supporters. Thank You all very very much !! On the 24Th we took a trip to Guadalajara to go on a shopping trip. Had a great time there. Need to go again to pick up more things that we would like to have.
